MEANING OF HEARING AIDS:-
The hearing aid is a small electronic device. We wear in or behind your ear. That aids makes some sounds louder so the people with hearing loss can listen, , and participate more fully in daily activities. The hearing aid can help people hear more in both quiet and noisy situations. Only about one out of five people who would benefit from a hearing aid actually uses one.
BASIC PARTS OF HEARING AIDS:-
Three basic parts of hearing aids; first one is microphone second amplifier and the third one is speaker. Thai is receives sound through microphone and which converts the sound waves to electrical signals and send them to an amplifier. That is classified as medical devices in most countries. That transforms environmental sound to make it more intelligible or comfortable.
USES OF HAERING AIDS:-
There are two uses of hearing aids;-
1. Adjustment- The aids are incapable of truly correcting a hearing loss. An aid to make sounds more accessible. People will become acclimated after a few weeks. The aids Instrument Specialist can sometimes further tune of these aid(s). Compression effect the amplification needed to make quiet sounds audible. These applied to loud sounds would damage the inner ear. Louder sound are reduced giving a smaller audible volume range.
2. Evaluation - Several ways of evaluating how well a hearing aid compensates for hearing loss. Audiometry which measures a subject's hearing levels in laboratory conditions. An alternative approach is self-report assessment. Although audiometric tests may attempt to mimic real- world conditions.

HOW CAN HEARING AIDS HELP?
Hearing aids are primarily useful in improving the hearing. Speech comprehension of people who have hearing loss.That results from damage to the small sensory cells in the inner ear. Hearing loss is called sensorineural hearing loss. Hearing aid magnifies sound vibrations entering the ear. The larger vibrations and convert them into neural signals that are passed along to the brain. The more severe the hearing loss, and the greater the hearing aid. A hearing aid would be ineffective.
